Monitoring HRT

After you commence hormone therapy you will need to attend your GP regularly, initially every 2-4 weeks.  Some of these check ups will involve blood tests to check your hormone levels, also blood pressure checks and discussion of benefits and side effects that you might be experiencing.

When your hormone levels are stable and you are happy with how things are going, medical appointments become less frequent. In the longer term you would expect to visit your GP about twice a year for prescriptions, blood tests and check ups.
