Sian Edwards has been working as a nurse in HIV care for 23 years. Her experience includes both HIV clinical nursing and educational roles. Sian is originally from the UK but her first experience in HIV care was in Sydney in 1987 as a HIV community nurse specialist. On her return to the UK Sian spent many years working in number of London HIV units before spending two years in Zambia, Africa on a Home Based Care Project. Sian left her last job as HIV lecturer at Brighton University in the UK in 2007, and now lives permanently in Melbourne.
