Northside Clinic - General Practice Rooms

Northside Clinic has a particular focus on providing quality medical care in a safe and friendly environment for the LGBTIQA+ and HIV positive communities in Melbourne’s inner north. We also provide General Practice care to the local community in Fitzroy North. The clinic provides comprehensive testing and management of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and HIV, as well as a full range of General Practice and Allied Health services.

We are committed to providing an environment that is safe and inclusive for people of all sexual orientations, sex and gender identities.

New Patient Policy

If you wish to become a new patient of the clinic, please speak to our friendly staff who will be able to advise you of our current availability. Due to the high demand of new patients on the clinic, we currently operate a category system for new patients.

Please note, during the current COVID-19 pandemic, we are not taking any new patients, except for Category A patients as outlined below.

Category A: Prompt appointments as soon as possible are made for:

  • People living with HIV.
  • People in need of Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) for exposure to
HIV within the previous 72 hours.

Category B: Next available appointments are made for:

  • Members of the LGBTIQA+ community.
  • People requiring acute STI management, those requiring sexual health care, or those with a referral from another doctor.
  • Partners and children of existing patients.
  • People living in Fitzroy North (proof of residency will be required).

Unfortunately, we can only offer appointments to new patients in category A at this time.
