New Patient Policy

Please note, we have new patient categories. At this point in time, we are only taking new patients who meet the below criteria.

Category A: Prompt appointments as soon as possible are made for:

  • People Living with HIV and/or Hepatitis B who have recently moved to Victoria or do not currently have a doctor managing their HIV/Hepatitis B.
  • People in need of HIV Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) or requiring acute STI management.
  • Children (under the age of 18) of existing patients.

If you fit Criteria A above, please contact our reception team who will advise on appointment availability.

Category B: Next available new patient appointments are made for:

  • Members of the LGBTIQA+ community.
  • People requiring sexual health care, or those with a referral from another doctor
  • Partners of existing patients.
  • People with a residential address in North Fitzroy.

If you fit Criteria B above, please register your interest in becoming a new patient via the button below. If the button is not currently visible, we are not taking patients from Category B, due to operating at capacity.

Prior to filling out this expression of interest form, please be mindful of the following:

  • We will aim to call you within 24-48 hours to book your appointment. Our phone number is (03) 9485 7700  – please save it in your phone so you know it’s us calling.
  • We will make two attempts to contact you. If we don’t hear back after that, we’ll assume you’re no longer interested in booking an appointment.
  • A deposit of $112.20 is required when making your booking. This doesn’t cover the full cost of the appointment, but you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate after your consultation.
  • Please note, the deposit may be used to cover the doctor’s time if you do not attend your appointment and fail to provide a minimum of 2 hours’ notice, in which case a Did Not Attend fee will apply.
  • If you’re unable to attend or change your mind, please let us know at least 2 hours before your appointment, and we’ll happily refund your deposit.
