Vanessa Murray

Vanessa is a fully certified practicing member of Speech Pathology Australia, following completion of her Masters Degree in Speech Pathology and Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Linguistics at La Trobe University.
Vanessa provides functional and holistic speech pathology programs for each of her clients, including:
- Voice and communication training for trans, gender diverse and non-binary people
- Treatment of vocal hyperfunction/misuse in the workplace
- Receptive and expressive language skills
- Pragmatics and social skills
- Speech disorders including articulations disorders
- Literacy
Vanessa provides targeted family-centred therapy for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning difficulties and behavioral disorders. She also provides discreet telehealth/videoconferencing sessions for those who have busy schedules or are not able to visit the clinic within hours of operation.
Vanessa has over 15 years experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to a wide demographic, both locally and internationally, and can provide one-on-one training to assist you or your loved one in IELTS (International English Language Testing System) preparation and accent reduction.
Being a passionate advocate of equality for all, Vanessa is sensitive to cultural, racial and gender differences. She has a firm understanding of intercultural communication and has played an active role in facilitating social inclusion in clients across varied social, cultural, gender and generational demographics. Most of all, she is keen to equip her clients with the right tools to express themselves effectively, both verbally and nonverbally and to assist in them finding their true voice.
