Vanessa Murray is a fully qualified member of Speech Pathology Australia and is one of the founding members of a new voice and communication interest group for practitioners with a transgender client base. She completed her Masters degree in Speech Pathology and Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Linguistics at La Trobe University. She has over fifteen years experience of teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to a wide demographic, both locally and internationally. She also has several years experience of publicity, and more recently as a paediatric speech pathologist at a special school in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. Vanessa provides functional & holistic speech pathology programs for each of her clients, specialising in transgender (TG) voice feminisation therapy, nonvervbal communication styles in transmen and transwomen, vocal hyperfunction/misuse in the workplace, paediatric Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and intellectual disability (ID).
Vanessa is a passionate advocate of equality for all, and is keen to equip her clients with the tools to express themselves effectively, both verbally and nonverbally.
Vanessa is currently in practice on Saturday mornings at Northside Clinic, with a view to expansion.
